Neon lights glow through the science of excited atoms. When electricity passes through a sealed tube of neon gas, electrons jump to higher energy levels. As they return, they release energy as vibrant light, creating dazzling displays in cities worldwide.

Fortress of Solitude. Newark, New Jersey

Greetings, salutations and a hearty “How ya doing?!” on this fine New Comic Wednesday.

If you are anything like myself, when I first step into a new city one of my absolute favorite parts of traveling is checking out a local comic shop.

The first stop in this series is the Fortress of Solitude of Newark, New Jersey. I flew into town to see the Original Misfits perform at the Prudential Center. Since I had some time to kill before I could get in my room, I looked this shop up. Thankfully, the place was within walking distance since I had flown in that morning and didnt want to bother with a ride since I was traveling alone.

I ended up picking up a few graphic novels to read as I awaited my concert that evening. Wish I would have taken more pictures but I wasn’t thinking of this site yet. This was a picture on my phone that I had forgotten I took.
