It was my first trip to Pittsburgh and let me tell you, it sure as hell will not be my last. Beautiful city. Awesome vibes, great foods and AMAZING comic book stores!
When I was preparing my trip to the Steel City, I asked the collective hive mind of the internet what the best comic book “must’ be visited on a trip. There were a lot of folks telling me to check out Eide’s Entertainment. Boy were they right!
Eide’s is a true legend when it comes to Comic Book Shops. It’s one of the longest running comic shops in the country as well. The great late Greg Eide opened the shop way back in 1972.
First off, this place is HUUUUGE. 4 different floors are filled with some of the most awesome comics and collectables that you didn’t know you existed. (But now they must exist in your collection)
If I wasn’t on a family trip, I would have easily spent the entirety of an afternoon thumbing through comics. Bonus points for a great organizational system that made it easy for me to unearth my favorite gems.
If you find yourself in the Pittsburgh this is a must stop!
