As a child, nothing compared to getting a Happy Meal. There was something special about having your own meal specifically that was geared towards children. You got your cheeseburger or nuggies, fries and a drink all in a cool box. All that and cool toy kept me begging for my parents to stop anytime that I saw the golden arches for years.
Wouldn’t be cool to relive that same magical feeling as an adult?
Metallica thought so too.
I attended Sonic Temple a few weeks ago and walked into one of the coolest experiences. Metallica expanded their Blackened Whisky tent to include some artisan hamburgers. Not only that but you could turn it into a Black Box Meal and get some chips and a drink brought out to you in a heavy metal version of a Happy Meal box.
Metallica totally nailed it on the packaging.
This was pretty damn good for a festival burger. I bet it would be even better if was cooked to order at a restaurant. Probably even better still if I was able to eat it at table instead of at a super packed festival where I happened to eat my meal on the grounds like a rabid little goblin.
Unfortunately, the festival winds knocked my chips over.
There was even a toy inside! This was a complete surprise that I had no idea was being included in the meal and may have screamed in excitement louder than I should admit to.
